Oh, taking social media off your list of "THINGS I DO" is soooo satisfying!!!

I want to eliminate the busy/low-value work that I do... life is short, so I want to maximize what time I have left on this space rock!

Take more phone holidays. So basically put my phone in a drawer for a day/weekend.

Ohhh heck yes that's a good one. To think that everyday since we got our first smart phone we've practically never done anything without it!

Maybe a smaller step would be to find opportunities to be without it for a shorter period? I switched from reading the news to sitting and giving my lunch my full attention during workdays.

Oh yes, for sure. Leaving my phone in the other room a lot more often.

YES! A STOP doing list is even more powerful than a TO DO list!

Something about raising the floor or something, right? haha

Yeah, for sure, and creating more efficient systems by clearing out the cruft!

I quit a volunteer gig I did for around eight years in order to clear out time and space for creative pursuits.

It feels AMAZING to quit something when life is really good rather than to wait until I’m too stressed out and spread thin.

I loved volunteering so much, but I know I’m going to love what’s next even more.

Making the boundaries we set even bigger. Protect the neck!

I want to pry myself away from the savage grip social media has on my life. Maybe throw my phone into the ocean?

Don’t you have a big river near where you live? Maybe we can toss it there instead.

BUT... have you at least set app time limits? That’s been helpful for me

I’m not taking every assignment or project that is offered to me; it’s fine to tap out when I feel the need to step back for a bit, and clients will understand!

Oh absolutely. I love that! Saying NO means saying YES to other things!

What I’m not doing in 2024:

Demeaning myself for likes on IG and TikTok.

Spending HOURS A DAY staring at a bitch-ass phone instead of my ART and FAMILY.

Thinking the only metric of my success is how popular I am on IG.

Creatively writing any less than 30 minutes a day, five days a week. 60 minutes is the goal.

😎

YEPPP. Think of how much we can get down with all the HOURS we stare at our phone. The skills we could acquire, or improve. Relationships we could build and develop. Deleting my IG by the new year.
