I'm gearing up to relaunch my Substack and leave socials. Just wanted to say I'm getting a lot out of what I'm reading at Social Media Escape Club. Thanks, Seth!

This conversation was wonderful to watch. I found it incredibly valuable and worthwhile, especially the portion where y’all talk the long game of the newsletter vs chasing the social media algo.

Ahhh the stuff about the unsubscribes was so relieving. I only send once a month for now but I still question my newsletter when I get like..2 unsubscribes after I send something 😅

Yeahhhh, don't sweat the unsubscribes!

When you see two folks you really admire talking together you listen! This was so great. Thank you. It’s got my brain cogs a-whirling.

Love the discussion about protecting your creative space. Curious to know how others protect their creative space when its a live or in-person event...this could even apply to a store/shop etc.

Invite only is a great start but I'm experiencing some negative energy vampires that are finding its way through the cracks....can we ever really "control" who shows up?

Joi - I've been thinking about this a lot. Back to you soon with some thoughts.

Just started a newsletter for my DJing with less than 30 people & this conversation is full of gold. Thanks Seth & Sarah for putting this convo out into the world! Gonna watch more than once no doubt.

Oh, that's so great to hear!! "Less than 30 people" is STILL GOLD! You're proof of that!

"It's much better to have a thousand people on your newsletter who really get you and really understand and are interested in what you have to share and say, than 10,000 who don't know who you are, who are going to unsubscribe every time they get a newsletter from you."

Oh, 100%! It's hard to build that strong connection, but it's priceless. Another good one, Seth!
