I do agree with you, Seth, though I feel like I'm going to go nuts with all this conflicting advice about social media or not social media. I'm almost completely burnt out.
Oh, I hear you. I try not to be TOO binary with it, or look down on anyone who's still holding onto with social media - because it's a big thing in our lives!
You're doing great, honestly, Seth. If I could, I'd leave them today. I'm just being pulled in two directions right now by different mentors, so I need a little time to process it all.
It's such a hard needle to thread, because we do need to sell things to keep a roof over our heads. And it takes a lot of work to write something that hasn't been written before. But to put something out there of value and expect people to pay attention to it, to want to open the e-mail, perhaps even to anticipate the arrival of the email, it has to be as great as you can possibly make it. You can't phone it in.
Social media sold us on the lie that we could “just post” and get a ton of eyeballs and sales - they MADE IT WORK because they had such scale. But then it DIDNT. Oooops!
Absolutely agree!! When I get an email with too many offers all at once, it's a hard delete. My brain can't focus on any of them. I just want to READ a good story!

Hey Seth
Can you please DM me? I’d like to talk to you about coming on my podcast.
Thank you
Frederick
I love the analogy of a good package delivery!

Colossal waste of time and energy, it boggles the mind looking at it from afar!
